'Poems about life, love, loss and stillness.
If you want excitement, danger, undirected outrage, that sort of thing, then this might not be what you are looking for'.

Through poetry we aim to find ways to express how it is to exist as a human, when our usual way of using words falls short. Our every day language is very helpful when we want to talk about objects, their relationships and events. However it is much less helpful when we want to share with others how it feels to be alive. Despite all of us experiencing deep and rich emotions, sensations and connections all day, every day, our every day way with words often isn’t up to the job of getting across what that is like to others.
So we find new ways to use words we are already familiar with and those we are less familiar with. We bend our language and twist it, shape it and form it in ways that, perhaps, infuse it with meaning.
In this way we blur the barrier between outside and inside and allow others to have a sense of what living is like for us. With this sharing we can know the comfort of companionship and in that knowing we can, maybe, meet ourselves a little more.
